Building Upgrades

 

There are three ways to retrofit a commercial building to be energy efficient:

 

• Upgrading the building “envelope,” or exterior parts of the building to regulate interior temperatures.  This includes windows, doors, insulation and roofs.

 

• Upgrading equipment, including overall HVAC, boilers/chillers, cooling towers and lighting.

 

• Operational efficiency through integration of technology that allows you to analyze the buildings overall energy usage with real-time information.  Sensors, smart meters and controls provide data-driven managing of buildings, with less monitoring and maintenance needed as a result.
